PurpleTeal, founded in 2006, is a Delaware corporation based in Fremont, California.
Our Indian subsidiary, PurpleTeal Technologies India Private Limited, is based in Chennai, and was established in 2009.
We are focused on hand-holding individuals to help them improve their health.

Founding Team

The founding team has a successful track record in starting and growing companies in software applications, and in developing and implementing strategies for multinational clients. The team has relevant experience, owns several patents and has more than 45 years of combined experience.

Narayanan Ram

  • Mr. Narayanan Ram was previously the Founder, Chairman & CEO of SeeItFirst Inc., a video software tools company. Mr. Ram founded SeeItFirst in 1997, raised millions of dollars in capital, launched the first product in 1998, put together a strong management team and BOD. SeeItFirst was acquired by UB Group in 2001. Mr. Ram continued as CEO of SeeItFirst until 2004. Before founding SeeItFirst Mr. Ram worked for Cirrus Logic at various positions from 1993 to 1996, and helped deliver the first video-conferencing chip for Cirrus Logic.

    Mr. Ram has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering and holds several patents (issued and pending).

Anand Subra

  • Anand Subra, Ph. D., was previously with IBM for 20 years, in sales, marketing, strategy and consulting. He delivered IBM services & solutions to large and medium-sized customers. As an executive BCS consultant, he helped multinational clients successfully develop and implement their business strategies and operational initiatives, worldwide. In IBM's emerging business opportunities (EBO) group, he led the global business development of Innovation Management services and spearheaded these services in Health Care.

    Dr. Subra obtained his Bachelors' degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and a Ph. D. from the University of Minnesota in the Management of Innovation. He has co-authored journal papers, and holds US and foreign patents.
