Wockhardt Hospitals signs
Wockhardt Hospitals Limited (Wockhardt), a large chain of multi-speciality and referral hospitals across the country, has engaged PurpleTeal Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. to provide value added healthcare services to their patients. Wockhardt hopes to gain significant differentiation by helping their patients take care of their health after they are discharged from the hospital.
Wockhardt is currently implementing pilots in the Endocrinology and Neurology departments, where patients are registered for ongoing messages encouraging them to follow doctor's orders. In contrast with the current practice of handing out a 'Discharge Form' with numerous instructions which are seldom followed, selected Endocrinology and Neurology patients will be registered for the PurpleTeal Customized Services for Wockhardt Endocrinology and Neurology respectively.
- Appointments for timely follow-ups, procedures, radiology, lab tests or other investigations
- Self-management tasks like observing wound healing, adverse effects or symptoms and taking required action
- Helping them follow diet restrictions, go for exercise, and other health-enhancement activities
By helping patients follow their doctor's orders better and helping them stay vigilant after surgery or treatment, Wockhardt wishes to improve patient recovery.
PurpleTeal completes a successful pilot with insurer Cholamandalam MS
Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Ltd. (Chola MS) is a joint venture between the Murugappa Group, one of India's leading business conglomerates and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company Limited, which is part of the Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group of Japan, the largest General Insurance Company in Japan and 5th largest insurance group globally.
Chola MS and PurpleTeal set out to test the impact and receptivity of the PurpleTeal LiveWell service over a three-month period, involving several hundred policy holders. The results far exceeded the expectations going in to the pilot.
Chola MS and PurpleTeal are in planning mode for a broad roll out to their policy holders.
